It's Hot in Atlanta!

By time you read this, I will be on my way to sunny Atlanta for four days of writer fun at Moonlight and Magnolias. The motto of the trip is 'Work Hard, Play Hard' and I am looking forward to a good time. Not only will I be meeting some fabulous people and leaning more about the career that I love, but my friends and I will be exploring what the destination has to offer.

This puts me in mind of some great books set in Atlanta. It's a smokin' area of the South and makes a great place for a grand adventure, a steamy romance, and some wild magic.

Here are some quick picks...

Frost Moon by Anthony Francis (Skindancer #1)

I am a sucker for a story that involves tattoos and tattoo artists. Throw in magic and a serial killer? I am there! Gimme, gimme, gimme.

Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews (Kate Daniels #1)

The main character/heroine wields a big sword. Need I say more?

Forsaken by Jana Oliver (The Demon Trappers #1)

The story of a seventeen year old demon trapper living in a world where both the economic crisis of humanity and the tactics of Lucifer are causing trouble.

Has anyone else checked out these hot magic reads? If anyone else is going to be at the conference this week, I hope to see you there!

  1. There aren't many authors I fan-girl over, but Ilona Andrews and her Kate Daniels series is definitely at the top of my list (another one up there is Karen Chance's Cassie Palmer series, which the first book starts out in Atlanta, lol).

I won't be at the conference, but I hope you have fun! Totally give us a conference wrap up!
