As readers, we live fantasies by reading books.
I enjoy
escaping into a great story. I also enjoy attending festivals. Ren Fests,
Celtic Festivals, Scottish Highland Games and Gatherings.
What does this have to do with books?
Writers and readers alike can taste fantasy by attending
festivals. And writers can find inspiration.
One of my favorite festival bands is the Celtic Rock group Coyote Run. When I saw they were playing locally in a couple of weeks, I dragged out one of my old band T-shirts. Absolutely love the logo. Doesn't it make your imagination spin?
"The king of the Sidhe will not let you go,
if you follow the music that round you flows...
...and enter the mound of the fairies."
if you follow the music that round you flows...
...and enter the mound of the fairies."
--Coyote Run
Check out my previous post: Enchanted Faerie Knolls.
I'm feeling inspired, I think I'll work on one of my
fae stories.
Do you have a favorite festival you like to attend? A
favorite festival band?

The husband plays in two bands, and I love the summer music season. If I don't have to work - or drive the kids to a soccer game or swim meet or whatever - I'm happy to be sitting in the grass, barefoot, singing along.

Sounds like great fun, Liv. Thanks for dropping in.
ReplyDeleteI love anything that inspires me into another realm. A few weeks ago I went up to LA to see a band called Nightwish- man so many ideas were popping in my head for stories! I'm going to check out Coyote Run- do they have any CDs?
ReplyDeleteMarie Andreas- can't use my profile at work :(
Hey, Marie. So glad you stopped by. Cayote Run has several CDs. Pop over to their website and check out their store. I'll be checking out Nightwishman. :)
ReplyDeleteOops- my bad. I meant to write "Nightwish, man..." group is just called Nightwish- they're sorta odd-
ReplyDeleteI'll check out Coyote Run though
