Bridal Shower Tea Party

Just returned from out-of-town, where I discovered a great idea for a bridal shower. My niece's bridesmaids threw a bridal shower tea party.

Many little girls love to dress up, sit down with their dolls and tiny tea set, and play make-believe. So what better fantasy-come-true than a grown-up tea party?

A caterer provided the fixings for my niece's shower, but if you were having a small gathering, you could do it yourself. We were served a small bowl of soup and salad to start. Little tea sandwiches cut with cookie cutters in the shape of hearts and circles and squares, and mini quiche. Scones with cream and jam. Fruit dipped in chocolate and mini brownies. And tea in several flavors. Later, a bridal cake. Delicious.

Wherever I go, whatever I do, I'm always wondering how life events can be used in romantic fiction.

Have you read a romance story including a bridal shower scene?
