During a recent trip to the Asheville NC area, I hiked with friends to a number of waterfalls within the Dupont State Forest—the sites of several scenes from the movie, The Last of the Mohicans.
At Triple Falls, kayakers riding the falls entertained us. Yeah, I held my breath during each decent.
A daredevil kayaker—what a great idea for a romance
novel character.
Who are your favorite adventurous characters?

I saw kayakers in downtown Stockholm run the rapids a few years ago. It was obvious one was the instructor, especially when the student overturned and the instructor paddled over and helped upright the other kayaker. I thought the same thing when i saw the two on the river. I could easily visualize the scene. I loved Bruce Willis in the first Die Hard movie.
ReplyDeleteHi, Darcy. Stockholm? Neat. Triple Falls are really steep. Amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, Stockholm. They have a very fast moving river right in the middle of town. Was on a Baltic cruise.
ReplyDeleteDawn, my husband kayaks. He loves it, but I'm not sure he'd do those rapids/falls. That looks amazing, but scary!! :-)) Looks like you had a blast. Hugs, Jan
ReplyDeleteThese kayakers were true daredevils, Jan. Not for the faint of heart. :)
