In honor of October, and my
favorite holiday being on the horizon, I wanted to ask: Do you believe in
Ghosts?
Whether you call them poltergeists,
spirits of the dead, apparitions, or another type of manifestation, there are
reports of ghost sightings not just all over the world, but dating back to
before the written word.
Hauntings have been thought to
be due to unresolved issues during the ghost’s life--from being murdered, to
missing a loved one.
Some haunt places, others haunt
people.
Heck, there have even been
stories of phantom armies, ghost trains and ships.
Most ghosts are thought to be the soul or spirit of a dead person (or even animal) that can appear to the living.
I’ve never seen a ghost, but
I’ve been places that felt... different.
Strange.
Not empty.
In my book Bloodstorm (Heart of
a Vampire, Book 1) the heroine Niki is literally haunted by the ghosts of her
murdered family until she kills the vampire who killed them, and turned her
into a monster.
They manifest physically--she
can see them, even hear their moans and cries for vengeance.
(Shameless plug) Bloodstorm is
currently FREE at all e-retailers, so grab your copy :)
So, my Q4U: Do you believe in ghosts?
Have you ever seen one? Share :D

I believe. Can't say I've seen one, but I have certainly sensed them. Enjoyed your post, Amber.

DeleteI grew up with a ghost in our living room closet. No one talked about him until we were adults. Not us kids, not our mom or the neighbors for years. Them when we did, everyone was amazed. He was a bugger on time. Didnt like people being late.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome, Darcy.
DeleteIt's funny how we can not talk about something, even when its right there, if its a bit spooky :)
