A Plea to Understand the Zombie Craze

Some of you might know that zombies and I are not BFFs.

In fact, I’ve said some rather negative things about zombies that I fear I can never take back.

But part of me wants to know what it is about zombies that has everyone going crazy.

Do people like the idea of their animated corpses coming back to life?

Okay, that was biased. I promised myself I would write a non-biased post, in an attempt to truly be educated about zombie-ism. I apologize.

For the duration of this post, I will not be biased with my own opinions. Then at the end of the post, I’ll post an unrated version of something I wrote last week, which reveals my true opinions.

Maybe we could start some type of list about why people are so pro-zombie.

Some possibilities I’ve come up with:

1.)    The Walking Dead

a.       It’s an awesome show (despite the zombies).

But zombies were a thing even before The Walking Dead.

How did they gain power? And will we really have to watch zombie type beings in the next season of Game of Thrones? Because it looks like it. (I’m not shuddering here because I’m not being biased!)

Some other possible reasons for people liking zombies.

2.)    People like the idea of the apocalypse? (Question mark intentional)

a.       Perhaps there is a certain type of stress we wouldn’t have to deal with as a result of the world ending.

b.      PLUS: No bills.

c.       MINUS: Survival of the fitness.

d.      If you’re like me, the last one is a concern. (Oh, excuse me, is that your last can of beans? By all means, I’m sorry. I’ll get the next last can.)

3.)    People like the look of zombies?

a.       Okay, I don’t get this one at all.

You all have to help me understand this. I tried not being biased, but that was a huge lie. And on a related note, The absolutely crucial question everyone should ask their life partner about the apocalypse before commitment.
